Recently, I have a thing for Bobble stitch which some crocheters call Puff stitch, this post would explain How I make my Crochet Bobble stitch and show few Patterns I made using Bobbles.
Why make a Bobble stitch?
If you want a pattern full of texture and Warmth, then this stitch is perfect for you!
you can use any yarn weights, basically – you would get different thickness and bulkiness with the yarn type selected. I prefer using Double knit (#3) or Worsted weight yarns (#4) yarn. chunky (#5) yarns.
Here are few examples of what I made using bobble stitch, you can also find the patterns to these patterns in my Ravelry and Esty Pages.
let’s get to the tutorial…
Supplies

Double Knit yarn (stylecraft) in 2 contrasting colors

yo, and draw the yarn through all 6 loops on your hook. Secure with a chain 1
(dc5tog) = Double Crochet 5 Together
Here are few things to note while making a pattern using Bobble stitch

Available on Ravelry and Esty
- Bobbles are to be crocheted on the wrong side to make them puff and beautiful
- if using two colors, carry “un-used” yarn i.e C, crocheting over it.
- A gentle pull at regular intervals would prevent the un-sued yarn from showing
