Susanna
I am Susanna, the designer and maker behind Fosbas Designs. Here, I share not only crochet designs but also the inspirations and process of each project. I am a happy mother of two handsome boys and a wife to my prince charming. These guys are my main inspiration and are fully part of FD.

How it started
I learned to crochet from my mother when I was eight — though I started out with knitting. The early makes were coasters (I still love them), crocheted caps and dolls. I even made myself a cardigan when I was about fourteen, and plenty of beanies and booties along the way.
Then came a pause of a few years while I pursued my career. When I became pregnant with my first baby, my love for crochet and knitting was rekindled — that pregnancy really birthed my journey into the crochet world. Since then I have made countless pieces for my baby, my family and my friends, and eventually decided to share the designs themselves rather than the finished items.

My aim is to make crocheting easier and more fun, with patterns written in the clearest way I can manage, for every kind of occasion. Alongside the patterns you will find stitch tutorials and the hacks I have picked up over the years.
Over time I have created a number of stitches that are unique to Fosbas Designs — they create an illusion with a reversible effect. Have a look at the reversible designs to see what I mean.
Every pattern is size inclusive, graded and tested from 28″ to 64″ bust.
