Simple Crochet Towel Holder Free Pattern
Row 1: Ch 3, (sc, ch 1, sc) in 3rd ch from hook, turn
Row 2: Ch 3, skip sc, sc in ch 1 sp, ch 1, ( sc, ch 1, sc) in ch 3 sp from previous row, turn
Row 3: Ch 3, *skip sc, sc in ch 1 sp, ch 1* repeat across until you reach the ch 3 sp from the previous row, (sc, ch 1, sc) in ch 3 sp, turn
Rows 4 until you have 4” by 18”
Edging and finishing
- Crocheting around the whole panel, sc in each st around, (sc, ch 2, sc) at each corner, join with a sl st to the beginning chain.
- Fold the panel in half.
- With the triangle folded lengthwise
- Sew the sides together, leaving the longer side of the triangle unjoined.
Fasten off and set aside.
Section 2: Star
- Make 2 pcs
Round 1: In a magic chain, ch 3 (counts as the first dc), 8 dc in the magic ring, sl st to the top of the ch 3, and close the magic ring tightly. 9 dc
Round 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a st), *sc in next st, (2 dc, tr, ch 3, sl st to the 3rd ch, tr, 2 dc) in next st, repeat from * around, join with a sl st to the beginning chain.
10 tr, 20 dc, 5 sc, 5 corners
Fasten off the first piece.
Joining
Using the yarn left, sew the two stars together.
Fasten off.
Place the star on the panel made in section 1.
Sew two corners of the star to the upper part of the towel.
To sew the topper to the hanger.
Step 1: With the wrong side of the towel facing you.
Step 2: Place the wrong side of the topper over the towel, as shown below.
Step 3: Sew the tip of the wingspan to the towel.
How to hang your towel using this topper
Step 1: Pass the corner of the towel with the topper facing you behind the oven bar
Step 2: Bring the opposite corner (now at the top) around the front and pass it through the topper.
