Reversible Crochet Christmas Blanket Pattern
I am thrilled to share the latest addition to the reversible crochet projects. Meet the long-awaited crochet Christmas blanket pattern. I decided to make this using a 2D Christmas Tree template.
Why Reversible crochet Christmas blanket pattern?
This is a relaxing project, perfect for the upcoming winter.
There are no multiple uses of colors in the rows, so you have just a few ends to sew in your Christmas blanket.
The finished blanket is super cozy and warm and has a perfect width to cuddle in this Christmas.
I have added progress videos to help you with this blanket’s steps.
The written pattern has stepwise photos, a PDF chart, and counts for each row.
There is a Facebook group dedicated to the reversible stitch that can help you make your version.
This blanket only uses double crochet and chain stitches for the body, so it’s fairly easy to master.

I have added the link to the Facebook group; kindly click and request access to join us for this crochet along.
I will organize Live charts to help answer any questions you might have with your blankets.

Materials for the Christmas Crochet Blanket
This Christmas crochet blanket was designed to be made in DK (#3) weight yarn, as it has two sides, making it super thick and cozy. However, you can use any other yarn weight!
For the prototype Christmas Tree Blanket, I have used 4 different colors of DK Weight yarns, using Stylecraft Special DK (#3, 100% Acrylic, 196 m per 3.5 oz/100g Ball)
Estimated Total Yardage
Color A approx. 1300 yards (I’m using White)
Color B approx. 1000 yards (I’m using Red)
Color C approx. 200 yards (I’m using Brown)
Color D approx. 680 yards (I’m using Green)
Hook and other Materials for the Christmas Crochet Blanket
- 5.5 mm Crochet Hook or any other suitable hook size.
- Stitch Markers – 2 pieces (in different colors)

Finished Measurement
This reversible Reversible Crochet Christmas Blanket Pattern prototype was made in DK weight yarn and a 5 mm crochet hook; the finished measurement is 50” by 70”
Adjusting your Christmas blanket Size
- You can use worsted-weight or 4-ply yarn. If you opt to use another yarn weight, the finished version will be different in size.
- You can reduce or increase the amount of repeats before and after the Christmas Tree.
- Increase or decrease the number of clusters in the Christmas Tree section
- Increase or decrease the number of tiers for the Christmas Tree section
Gauge: I have written out the instructions/pattern for the gauge and also provided a detailed video to help you make this project.
13 sts over 16 rows
Chain 14, and follow the written pattern.
Your stitch counts should be:
With A = 3 clusters, 4 ch-1 sps, 2 dc
With B = 3 V sts, 4 ch 1 sps, 2 dc
Is it essential to make the gauge before I start this blanket?
If this is the first time you try the reversible stitch, I suggest you crochet the gauge. Not only will the gauge suggest if you need to change hook size or yarn, but it will also, most importantly, help familiarise you with the stitch.
Checking the gauge will also prevent and reduce the stress of frogging when you start your blanket.
