Easy crochet granny stitch - reversible stitch. One sweater, two different sides.

Reversible Crochet Hexagon Cardigan

I have always wanted to design the crochet hexagon cardigan. Of course, as a reversible project! This makes this the perfect no wrong or right side!

One cardigan, different sides, different colors, different stitches, and in multiple sizes!

This is the cardigan that answers, when in doubt make me! You get two cardigans (two sides) for the price of one. Go wide or gentle with the use of colors, express yourself in two contrasting colors for the perfect effect.

Most of my testers have never made a reversible garment before and they all did an amazing jog. So, you should give this project a go as after the first few rounds, it is a repeat of the basic rounds. I have added a lot of photos and video tutorials to help you make yours.

Reversible Crochet Hexagon Cardigansame cardigan with two completely different sides.

There are two different sides – This means that there are no wrong or right sides! The sides are made in different colors with different stitches. These are called the Granny side (uses the granny stitch) and the V-st side (made using the V st – dc, ch 1, dc.

The pattern includes Video tutorials to help with the basics and the important steps as you make yours. Also, I created a support group solely for this project. come join us.

How to make the Reversible Crochet Hexagon Cardigan

  • This cardigan is made in 5 sections.
  • Section 1 is made in rounds, after which you add more width to one of the sides in rows and then join the two panels to form the body and sleeves; this is done in section 2.
  • Section 3: Add more length to the body, made in rows, until you have your desired length.
  • Section 4: Borders – to the front opening and the cardigan’s lower edges. Made separately in colors A and B, after which both are joined together to create a perfect double-sided effect.
  • Section 5: Sleeves – in rounds for a long sleeve effect with cuffs.

Two simple granny hexagons are the foundation of this reversible hexagonal crochet cardigan.

You’ll make two identical panels first, which will be the chest and shoulders of the cardigan. After that, a few rows will be added to one side of the cardigan for a perfect fit.

Lastly, you’ll finish off the cardigan with the sleeves and border for the cardigan.
