For a fitted turtleneck, reduce the number of stitches.

Try the piece on, if the neckline is too wide, join a few STS on either side of both panels together, leaving the middle part as the neckline. Continue with the pattern below.

Left side

Join yarn with a sl st to the beginning of the other side of the main panel.

Note – The finished measurement should be equal to your bust measurement. If not, add more rows to the sides.

Side seam(s)

  • Turn both panels to the wrong side (decide which side you’d want as the wrong side).
  • Fold the front panel over the back panel.
  • Measure 7.5 (8, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 9, 9, 9.5, 10)” from the shoulder tip downwards. 
  • Try this piece on to know if you are happy with the armpit opening.
  • Please note that you can adjust the length of the armpit opening as you see fit.
  • Place stitch markers on the point (1st on the front panel, the 2nd on the back panel), over both panels – these would be the sleeve opening.
  • Join yarn with a slip stitch at the stitch with the marker, crocheting away from the stitch marker towards the edge.
  • Ch 1, sc over both sides, continue until the end.
  • Fasten off, repeat on the other side.  

Section 4 – Sleeves

Crocheting across the stitches left (between the two stitch markers)
