For this crochet skirt, I wanted I wanted an ombre effect and in Pink. Searching through my yarn stash, I could only find sport weight yarn int he colors that I love. Hence the reason why I have doubled the yarn for a DK (#2) weight. Simply put, you need a DK weight yarn for this pattern.
