Section 1: The main panel is made of two pieces, worked flat in rows.
Section 2: The panels are joined together to form the finished cushion cover.

Adjustments

You can easily customise the size of your cushion.
Increase or decrease the number of foundation chains in multiples of 2.
Adjust the number of row repeats until your desired size is achieved.

Choosing Your Yarn

The yarn you choose plays a huge role in the final look. A wool yarn like the one used here gives beautiful structure and stitch definition, while still maintaining softness. If you prefer a lighter feel, cotton or blends can also work beautifully.

Colour choice can completely transform the design — go bold for a statement piece or neutral for a timeless, understated look.

Styling Your Cushion

This cushion is designed to elevate your space effortlessly. Place it on a neutral sofa to let the texture shine, or layer it with other cushions for a cosy look.

It pairs beautifully with linen, soft knits, and even structured fabrics — making it a versatile addition to any room.

Tips for a Professional Finish

Maintain consistent tension throughout your work for an even, polished look.
Block your panels lightly if needed before assembly.
Take your time with seaming to ensure clean, invisible joins.
Use good lighting when working to clearly see stitch placement, especially for the crossed stitches.
