Why crochet a market bag?

My favorite reasons for making my own market bags are the personalization, ease of adjustment to fit my needs, and, most of all, the love of handmade projects.

This crochet shopping bag can be customized in size. Just stop at any point you have your desired width and height.

I love how cute this bag is. Plus, it makes my shopping much easier.

Best yarn for a crochet market bag

I found making my bags hold on well when made with cotton yarn!

The cotton yarn makes it a durable, strong market bag that lasts very long.

Acrylic yarn is another option, as it is readily available, easy to wash, and holds well after washing.
