Crochet basket pattern, a dream come true! I’ve always wanted a storage basket to keep my essentials. Designing a crochet basket and using it has been a game changer, I hope you love it as much as I do. Now I feel like making this in all sizes and shapes.
This free crochet basket pattern can be made into any size of your choice. You can use any weight of yarn but keep in mind this would mean a different size of Basket.
Tips to help you make a sturdy crochet basket
After spending lot of hours making your crochet basket, having a sturdy and useful finished crochet basket is important. Here are few of my best tips to making a sturdy crochet basket.
Tips to making your next crochet basket stiff
Yarn – The yarn selected for your crochet basket is very important. Selecting a strong and heavy weight yarn is crucial. Go for heavy weight when selecting yarn for crochet baskets. Examples includes chunky weight yarn. You could even double or tripled light weight yarns.
Crochet stitches – if using a light weight yarn, using close knitted stitches would be ideal.
Starch – You could starch your basket if it comes out wobbly to make it stiff.
Not only can you customize your storage basket by using different weights of yarn, but you can also increase the height of this basket to your desired taste.
Have you thought of what to keep in your basket? This would keep any essentials. I kept my yarns in this but it would serve as storage for Diapers!
