About the Soleil Lace Top

The Soleil Lace Top is created using individual crochet motifs that are joined together as the garment grows.

The construction begins around the neckline before moving into the body. The motifs are worked in rounds, with later motifs joined to the previous ones during the final round. This creates the beautiful continuous lace effect without having to sew every motif together afterwards.

The sample was made using Lion Brand Truboo #3, a lightweight DK yarn that gives the motifs a soft drape and beautiful stitch definition.

You can substitute another DK weight yarn if preferred.

Estimated yardage ranges from approximately 400 to 850 yards, depending on the size you are making.

3.5 mm crochet hook for the sleeves
