The crochet book cover would look beautiful with the bookmark, which uses a crochet technique similar to the applique on this book cover. I have compiled both patterns together with the Crochet book cover pattern.
The Bundle consists of both a bookmark and book cover on Ravelry
Tips to help you make a beautiful crochet book cover
- Get a yarn with good texture – You do not want any yarn that can cause damage to your precious books.
- A smaller crochet hook size would make excellent and tight stitches to secure the book cover.
- Decide whether you want a permanent or removable crochet book cover. If you choose a permanent cover, use the least damaging adhesive. For removable covers, allow a few inches of ease around the book to protect the edges when you put or remove the cover.
- Snaps, buttons, or even Velcro can be added to secure a removable crochet book cover.
