Crochet Flower Wreath Free Pattern
How about decorating your doors with this easy and creative crochet flower wreath? This free pattern is fun to customize and can be made in colors that complement your space.

It’s becoming a tradition for me to decorate our front doors. The Halloween, Christmas: Santa and even a snowman wreath are a few of the fun crochet door decors on the blog.

Crochet Flower Wreath Free Pattern Details
Materials
Wreath – Any yarn in colors of your choice. I used the worsted weight in white color.
Stylecraft Special Aran, (#4, 100% Acrylic, 196 m per 3.5 oz/100g Ball)
Flowers – Any Worsted weight yarn can be used.
Lion Brand 24/7 cotton, Worsted weight, #4 (100% Cotton, 232 yards/212 m per 3.5 oz/100g Ball)
Estimated yardage
Wreath cover = 50 yards
Flowers = 20 yards per one
Hook and other materials
- Darning Needle
- 4 mm Crochet Hook
- Stitch marker
Materials for the Wreath
- 1 form ring (I used 14 cm).
- Scissors
- Glue or Pin to secure the loops to the ring (optional)

Gauge
14 sts over 10 rows = 4 x 4” made in hdc, before blocking.
Adjust hook size if necessary, to obtain gauge.
Pattern Notes
- Please kindly read through the pattern before starting.
- Any yarn weight can be substituted for the wreath.
- You can use any other size of ring, but the estimated yardage of loop yarn will be different.
- Any # 4 weight yarn can be substituted for the roses.

Crochet Flower Wreath Free Pattern
Section 1: Wreath cover
Step 1: Pick up the wreath ring and the first Ball of yarn.
Step 2: Secure the end of the loop yarn with a pin or glue to the wreath ring and wrap the yarn around the wreath form.
Step 3: Pass the whole roll through the wreath ring’s center and wrap the yarn around the ring. Secure the yarn with glue at intervals and ensure a tight wrap.
Join new ball with glue or make a knot with loops on each end of yarn. Be sure the end is secured before continuing.
Continue to wrap the loop yarn until the end.
Cut off excess yarn and secure the end properly to the wreath ring.
Section 2: Roses
Part A: Small Roses
Make 6 Roses
Use any other colors as you wish.
With Color B, Chain 94
Row 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook, *ch 2, skip next 2 chs, dc in next ch, rep from* to end, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as a st), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in first ch sp, *sc in next ch sp, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch sp, rep from * until the last chain space.
Fasten off.
Weave in all ends.
Fasten off.
To assemble the rose
- Start from the ruffled end.
- Roll circularly and gradually expand the circle until you have completed the whole piece.
- Secure with yarn at different spots on the base.
· Sew it ends.
With the remaining yarn on the rose, sew tightly to the dress around the part where you started the ruffles.
Part B: Big Rose
Make 1
With C, Chain 125
Row 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook, *ch 2, skip next 2 chs, dc in next st, rep from* to end, turn. 41 dc, 40 ch sp
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as a st), 3 dc in first ch sp, *ch 4, sc in next st, ch 4, 4 dc in next ch sp, rep from * until last 12 ch sps, fasten off A, join B. **Ch 2, skip next ch sp, sc in next st, ch 5, sc in same st, ch 2, skip next ch sp, sc in next st, rep from ** to end, turn. 6 ch-5 sps, 28 sc, 112 dc
Row 3: With D, ch 1, sc in first ch sp, *(5 dc, ch 3, 5 dc) in ch 5 sp, skip next ch 2 sp, sc in next ch 2 sp, rep from * until last ch 5 sp, (5 dc, ch 3, 5 dc) in ch 5 sp, sl st to the next ch 2 sp.
Fasten off.
Weave in all ends.
Fasten off.
To assemble the flower:
- Start from the ruffled end.
- Roll circularly and gradually expand the circle until you have completed the whole piece.
- Secure with yarn at different spots on the base.
- Sew it ends.
With the remaining yarn on the rose, sew tightly to the slippers using the ch 4 space left.
Joining the roses to the wreath
- Place the roses on the wreath ring and arrange as you would like.
- Use a pin to secure the roses.
- If you are happy with the placement, secure each rose to the ring with hot glue.
- Allow to dry.
