Today on the blog, it is an honor to have Morine share with us her beautiful Twist to the classic crochet beanie as a free pattern. It is an honor to have her. She is the talented designer behind Morine’s Shop.
Morine’s Shop is a crochet and craft enthusiast blog where I share inspiration, education & patterns for makers of all skill levels. Although my Mama taught me to crochet as a child, I didn’t start experimenting with crochet until after high school. I’ve built upon it over the years to the point where I am designing and publishing my own patterns. My goal is to spread my love for the craft through fun, colorful designs. Follow me on my listed sites, or just pop over and say hi; I love making new friends.
Twist to the Classic Crochet Beanie Pattern
If you love crochet beanies then the Twist to the Classic Beanie is just for you. It uses simple stitches with intervals of increases and decreases to give is a nice wavy effect. To add to that, the pattern is mostly worked in the back loop only which adds a lovely ridged texture to it. This crochet beanie pattern is simple but unique and works up fast. Furthermore, it’s easy to customize in terms of size, fit, and color.
The Twist to the Classic Beanie is inspired by a menstrual health campaign Haseeta started over at her Facebook group. We are currently working together along with the African Girl Foundation to raise awareness regarding menstrual health at the same time raising funds to equip 1000 Kenyan girls with sanitary kits. The premium version of this pattern is available in my store and for every sale made, $1 will go toward reaching our target of 1000 girls ($10,000) by May 28th, 2021.
