Materials needed

Yarn = Any DK yarn can be substituted.

Lion brand Coboo – DK, #3 lightweight (51% Cotton, 49% Rayon from Bamboo, 232 yards/212m per 3.5 oz/100g skein)

Estimated Yardage

Green = 15 yards

Red = 15 yards

White = 10 yards

Hook = 4 mm Crochet Hook

Other materials

Stitch markers – 2

Beads – 15 mm – 3 pcs per bauble

Darning needle 

Gauge

Gauge isn’t essential for this project.

Pattern notes

1. Please kindly read through the pattern before starting.
2. Any 3 weight of yarns can be substituted.
3. Chains at the beginning of Rounds or Rows do not count as a stitch.

With Main Color

Round 1: In a magic ring, ch 2 (does not count as a stitch), 12 hdc in magic ring. 12 hdc. 

Skip the beginning chains, and do not join. 

Place a stitch marker at the end of the round and move it after every round. 

Round 2: 2 hdc in each st around. 24 hdc

Round 3: *hdc in next, 2 hdc in next, repeat from * around. 36  hdc

Round 4: *hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next, repeat from * around. 48 hdc

Fasten off Red, join White

Round 5: Sc in each st around. 48 sc

sl st to the next st to close the height difference.

Fasten off

Weave in all ends.

For two ornament set:

Make 6 pieces with Red and White

Make 6 pieces with Green and White

Joining – One ornament

• You need 6 pcs to make one ornament.
• I have used 3 pieces of Red and 3 pieces of Green.
• For a  

Step 1: Place a piece of red over one piece of green. Repeat with the remaining two pieces. 

Step 2: Join White yarn with a sl st to any stitch on the two pieces. Crocheting around the two stitches together. 

Round 1: Ch 1, sc in both sts around, join with a sl st to the beginning chain, leave a long tail of yarn, and cut yarn.  

Repeat with the remaining pieces – for a total of 3 joined pieces. 

Step 3: Pick the three pieces and secure them with a stitch marker.

Step 4: Place another stitch marker at the lower end. 

Step 5: Secure the three pieces: with your crochet hook, sew the 3 pcs together, each point with a sl st. Repeat the step on the other end with the stitch marker.

Upper Part

Step 6: Pass a bead through the yarn left. Chain 6, pass a second bead. Secure the chain to the pieces just at the base of the first chain. 

Lower Part

Step 7: Make a tassel and set aside.

Step 8: Pass a bead and secure the tassel tightly with the remaining yarn.

Step 9: Sew the tassel to the lower end of the piece.

Sew in all ends.
