Crochet pocket square: Azure Mandala Free Pattern
A crochet pocket square you can stitch onto anything.
Did you catch the Mandala Baseball from last week? I got so many compliments, and people asked if it could be adapted to other clothing items. This is the inspiration behind today’s post.
Meet the Azure Mandala Crochet Pocket Square, the pattern that started on a cap and somehow ended up on everything in my wardrobe. 🖤

What is the Azure Mandala Pockets pattern?
It’s a circular mandala worked in rounds, think concentric rings of color, that gets finished off into a classic granny square shape. The result is this bold, graphic pocket motif that you can sew onto a plain white tee, a denim jacket, a tote bag, or yes… a baseball cap.
The colour palette I used is black, grey, white, and mustard, but honestly, this pattern is begging to be made in your own colours. Pastels, earth tones, brights — drop a comment and tell me what you’re planning!

Instructions for the Denim Mandala (Large and small versions) can be seen in the PDF.
Attaching the Mandala Square to your Shirt
Position the mandala square on the shirt where desired.
Once you are happy with the placement, slide a piece of hard paper or cardboard inside the shirt between the front and back panels. This helps prevent accidentally sewing through both layers of the shirt.
Use sewing pins to hold the mandala securely and evenly in place before attaching it.
Thread a sewing needle with matching thread and carefully sew around the edges of the mandala using neat stitches.
For a pocket-inspired effect, leave the top edge unsewn so it functions like a small decorative pocket.
As you sew, check regularly to ensure the mandala remains flat, smooth, and securely attached to the shirt.
Repeat the instructions for the circular mandala on the denim pocket and the mini mandala also.
There you have the Crochet pocket square, I would liek to see your versions.
