Crochet top pattern notes

  1. Please kindly read through the pattern before starting.
  2. Similar #3 weight yarn can be substituted, please check the gauge.
  3. Chains at the beginning of each row and in the pattern are regarded as a stitch throughout this pattern. Regard chains as a stitch and work into them.

Construction Notes

  1. This Simple Tee Top is worked in rows.
  2. Both panels (front and Back) are made in one piece with a neck opening made midway.
  3. The sides are then seamed together.
  4. For a Color change, do that after Row

Adjustments/fittings

  1. Length: increase or decrease the repeat rows for both back and front panels.
  2. Armpit: Too tight? Increase the number of inches measured from the top of the shoulder.

Too loose: Decrease the number of inches.

  • Bust/fitting: each panel is half your bust measurement, after Row 5, you should check to make sure you have the desired measurement.

• Turn work to the wrong side.
• Fold the front panel over the back panel.
• Measure 7.5 (8, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 9, 9, 9.5, 10)” from the shoulder tip
downwards.
• Place stitch markers on the point (1st on front panel, the 2nd on the back panel), over both panels.
• Join yarn with a slip stitch at the stitch with the marker.
• Using a Darning needle, sew both sides downwards.
Fasten off, and repeat on the other side.
Edging (armpit)
With the right side facing, join MC with a sl st to end of MC, working towards the armpit, ch 1, sc evenly in each st and up towards the
back panel to CC section. Continue with CC to end, join with a sl st to ch 1.
