Chain/chains – ch/chs

Single Crochet – sc

Half double crochet – hdc

Double crochet – dc

Crossed double crochet – CDC

Crossed double crochet (cdc) =  skip next st, dc in next st, crocheting over the dc just made into the skipped st, yarn over, insert hook into skipped stitch and yarn over (3 loops on the hook), yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull through the remaining 2 loops. 

V-Puff stitch – *yarn over, insert hook into indicated  st and pull up a loop (3 loops on the hook), yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, and pull up a loop (5 loops on the hook), next, yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, and pull up a loop (7 loops on the hook), yarn over and pull through first 6 loops on the hook, yarn over, pull through the remaining 2 loops**, (first half made), chain 2, Rep from * to **

For a puffy V puff stitch, increase the number until you have 9 or 11 loops remaining on your hook.

Section 1 – Front Panel

Chain 79 (91, 103, 115, 127, 139, 151, 163, 175)  

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook (counts as the first 2 dc), *ch 2, skip next 2 chs, dc in next 2 chs, rep from * to end, turn. 40 (46, 52, 58, 64, 70, 76, 82, 88) dc

19 (22, 25, 28, 31, 70, 34, 37, 43) ch 2 sps.

Row 2: Ch 1 (counts as first sc here and throughout), sc in next st, *ch 2, skip next ch sp, sc in next 2 sts, rep from * to end. turn. 

40 (46, 52, 58, 64, 70, 76, 82, 88) sc

19 (22, 25, 28, 31, 70, 34, 37, 43) ch 2 sps.

Match the length of the back panel with the front panel.

Finishing (Sport weight)

Crocheting around the whole panel.

Round 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around the whole panel, aim for 2 sc in each dc/ch 2 and ch 2 at each corner.

Shoulder seam(s)

  • Turn both panels to the wrong side (decide which side you’d want as the wrong side).
  • Fold the front panel over the back panel.
  • Measure 3.5 – 5” from the shoulder tip towards the middle, and mark with a stitch marker.
  • Adjust the length for a comfortable fit. 
  • Place stitch markers on the point (1st on the front panel, the 2nd on the back panel), over both panels.
  • Join yarn with a slip stitch at the stitch with the marker.
  • Ch 1, sc over both sides, towards the shoulder tip.
  • Fasten off, and repeat on the other side.

Side seam(s)

  • Turn both panels to the wrong side.
  • Place the front panel over the back panel, with the wrong side facing you and the right side facing each other.
  • Measure 7.5 (8, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 9, 9, 9.5, 10)” from the shoulder tip downwards. 
  • Try the tee on to know if you are happy with the armpit opening.
  • Please note that you can adjust the length of the armpit opening as you see fit.
  • Place stitch markers on the point (1st on the front panel, the 2nd on the back panel), over both panels.
  • Join yarn with a slip stitch at the stitch with the marker.
  • Ch 1, sc over both sides and continue until the end.
  • Fasten off, and repeat on the other side.

Edging (armpit)

With the right side facing, join with a sl st to the armpit.

Round 1: Ch 1, sc evenly in each st, join with a sl st to ch 1.

Fasten off, and sew in the ends.
