How to crochet mushrooms
Most of these patterns start with a magic circle (magic ring) after which the pattern continues to make the mushroom cap, (there are different shapes of cap – can be a flatter cap, a traditional pointed cap) then the mushroom stem is made.
You can follow the step-by-step guide which can be a no-sew or with some joining.
Yarn: Choose your favorite cotton yarn in any weight. Yarn weight can range from sport (fingering weight), DK weight, worsted weight yarn, or super bulky yarn for this pattern. Scrap yarn comes in handy when making crocheted mushrooms.
Picking a color: You can go for any color, red yarn, white yarn, or even earthy tones.
Crochet Hook: Match your hook to your yarn weight. For worsted weight, a 4mm (G) hook works well.
Stuffing: Polyester fiber fill will give your mushroom the perfect plushness.
Yarn Needle: For weaving in those ends.
Stitch Marker: To keep your place in the round.
Optional: Tapestry needle, Safety eyes or black yarn for decoration.
