Section 1: Bunny ears – Make 2
With MC
Round 1: In a Magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc 6 sc.
Or ch 3, 6 sc in 3rd ch from hook—6sc.
- Place a stitch marker and move it with each round
- Crocheting in spiral
Round 2: 2 sc in each around—12 sc.
Rounds 3 – 5: sc in each st around—12 sc
Round 6: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next, rep from * around. 18
Round 7: *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next, rep from * around. 24
Rounds 8 – 23: Sc around. 24
Leave a long tail for sewing and fasten off
- Bend your florist wire into two
- Place the wire inside the ear
- Fold the lower 3rd of the ear as shown below

Finishing
- Pick up the cake
- Locate the first 5 rounds on the top where you worked into the BLO.
- Pick your desired position for the ears’ placements.
- Sew the bunny ears to your preferred location on the cake top
- Fill your cake with polyfill
- Optional – Cut a cardboard of similar circumference to the cake base and place it inside the cake before stuffing it for a better shape.
- Shape your cake properly

Icing – Cake Base
- Crocheting into the sts left unworked from Round 1 of the Body
- With CC, join yarn to any part on the base of the cake
Round 1: Ch 1 sc in each st around, join-132 hdc
Round 2: Ch 3, *shell in next st, skip next 2 sts, sc in next st, skip next 2 sts, ch 2, rep from * to the end, join with a sl st to beginning ch. 22 shells, 22 sc
Fasten off.
Icing – Upper Cake Trim
- Crocheting into the sts left unworked from Round 17 of the Body
- With CC, join to any part on the sts left unworked on the cake
Round 1: Ch 1 sc in each st around, join-120 hdc
Round 2: Ch 3, popcorn stitch in same st, *ch 2, skip next st, sc in next st, ch 2, skip next st, popcorn stitch in next st, rep from * to the end, join – 30 Popcorn, 30 sc
