Free Crochet Boot Cuff pattern

Are you a Boot cuff kind of lady? My love for warmth in fall makes designing this crochet boot cuff pattern timely. If you would prefer a longer version that does not require buttons, you can check the leg warmer pattern.

Crochet Boot Cuff Measurement

This crochet boot cuff comes in 3 different sizes! You can choose between small, medium, and large sizes! These cuffs measure about 11” x 5” (12” x 5”, 13” x 5”) across.

Fitting for this crochet boot cuff pattern

The pattern is written in 3 different sizes, but since we all have different measurements, you can totally make a perfect fit or customized Boot cuff. The foundation chains should be a good fit around your calf /leg or boot.

Yarn ideas

The prototype is made using a double-knit yarn (#3). The pattern was also tested using the same weight of yarn. You are welcome to use any type of DK yarn.

• YARN

Lion Brand Truboo, DK, #3, (100% Bamboo, 241 yards/220 m per 3.5 oz/100g Ball)

1 Ball in Walnut

ESTIMATED YARDAGE

60 (80, 100) yards

HOOK AND OTHER MATERIALS

• 4.5 mm Crochet Hook
• Buttons – 6 pcs, 8 -15mm each
• Yarn needle

GAUGE

5 dc clusters over 10 Rows = 10cm/4” Square

Adjust hook size if necessary, to obtain gauge.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL – Intermediate

1. Increase/decrease your starting chains for a wider/smaller boot cuff.
2. You can increase or decrease the repeats for a better fit.

1. Please kindly read through the pattern before starting.
2. Any #3 weight of yarns can be substituted
3. Chains at the beginning of Rounds do not count as a stitch.
4. Each dc cluster is worked stacked on previous dc clusters.
5. Progress pictures are for a similar design (which uses the same stitch pattern).

How to Crochet the Boot Cuff

Chain 47 (53, 59)

Starting ch should be a good fit around your boot or leg in multiples of 3 + 2

Row 1: Sc in 2^nd ch and in each ch across, turn. 46 (52, 58) sc

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, skip next 2 sts, [dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog] in next st, *skip next 2 sts, [dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog] in next st, rep from * to last 3 sts, skip next 2 sts, dc in last st, turn. 14 (16, 18) dc clusters, 2 dc

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in first st, *[dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog] in each ch 1 sp across, dc in last st, turn. 14 (16, 18) dc clusters, 2 dc

Rows 4 – 7: Rep Row 3.

Or to the desired length.

Band

Row 1: Ch 1, hdc in first st, *hdc in dc2tog, hdc in next ch 1 sp, hdc in next dc2tog, rep from * to last st, hdc in last st, turn. 46 (52, 58) hdc

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in first st, FPhdc in next, BPhdc in next st, rep from * to last st, hdc in last st, turn. 23 (26, 29) FPhdc/BPhdc, 2 hdc

Rows 3 – 6: Rep Row 2.

Edging

Ch 1, sc in each st across the edges.

Fasten off, and sew in the ends.

Sew buttons on one side using chain 1 as buttonholes.
