Materials needed for the wine bottle scarf

Yarn – Stylecraft Bellissima DK, #3 (100% Acrylic, 293  yards / 286 meters per 3.5 oz/100g skein). 

Crochet Hook

• 4.5 mm Crochet Hook

Gauge 

14 sts over 10 rows = 4 x 4” made in hdc, before blocking.

Adjust hook size if necessary, to obtain gauge.

How to make a wine bottle scarf

With Color A, chain 72

Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in 

each ch across, turn. 70 hdc

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in first st, xhdc across until the last st, hdc in last st, turn. 34 xhdc, 2 hdc.

Rows 3 – 4’: Rep Row 2.

Reduce the number of repeats for a thinner scarf. 

Edging

Row 5: Crocheting around the whole panel, ch 1, sc evenly around the whole piece, aim for (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) at each corner, join with a sl st to the beginning chain.

Fasten off.

Weave in all ends.
